Texas High School Basketball - Gregory-Portland can't hold off Port Aransas
December 28, 2021: Port Aransas, TX 78373 The Port Aransas Marlins basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Gregory-Portland Wildcats to 45 in the Marlins non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Marlins now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Aransas Pass for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 28. Port Aransas will battle a Panthers team coming off a 52-45 non-league loss to Bandera (Bandera, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 7-10.
The Wildcats (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against Mathis (Mathis, TX). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Mathis nudged Davenport (San Antonio, TX), 40-32, in a non-league contest.
