Mississippi High School Basketball - West Union topped by Tishomingo County
December 28, 2021: Iuka, MS 38852 The Tishomingo County Braves basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the visiting West Union Eagles to 49 in the Braves non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Braves now sport a 17-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shannon for a 4A Region 1 contest on Tuesday, January 4. Tishomingo County will battle a Red Raiders team coming off a 56-42 league loss to Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Red Raiders record now stands at 0-6.
The Eagles (12-4) will now prepare for their contest against Tremont (Tremont, MS). The Eagles come into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Tremont was defeated by Wheeler (Wheeler, MS), 49-22, in a non-league contest.
