In Wednesday's non-league match, the host East Mecklenburg Eagles basketball team scored a decisive 81-51 triumph over the Ashbrook Greenwave.

In their next game, the Eagles meet the Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 29. East Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 8-4 record after their 80-61 non-league win over Huss (Gastonia, NC).

With the defeat, Ashbrook moves to 0-9 on the year. The Greenwave travel to Huss (Gastonia, NC) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Thursday, December 29.
