North Carolina High School Basketball - Hiwassee Dam knocked off by Mitchell
December 28, 2022: Bakersville, NC 28705 The Mitchell Mountaineers basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Hiwassee Dam Eagles to 51 in the Mountaineers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Mountaineers now sport a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tuscola for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Mitchell will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 49-44 non-league win over Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Mountaineers record now stands at 3-9.
The Eagles (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Andrews (Andrews, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Andrews was defeated by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 49-44, in a non-league contest.
