Maryland High School Basketball - Rockville can't hold off Catoctin
December 28, 2023: Thurmont, MD 21788 The Catoctin Cougars basketball team scored 78 points and restricted the visiting Rockville Rams to 71 in the Cougars non-league victory on Thursday.
The Cougars now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Walkersville for a CMC contest on Tuesday, January 2. Catoctin will battle a Lions team coming off a 70-44 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, MD). The Lions record now stands at 5-1.
The Rams (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Damascus (Damascus, MD). The Hornets come into the Montgomery 3A/2A North contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Damascus was nudged by Poolesville (Poolesville, MD), 48-38, in a league contest.
