Tennessee High School Basketball - Lawson can't hold off DeKalb County
December 28, 2023: Smithville, TN 37166 The Lawson Lightning basketball team (Nashville, TN), was nudged 58-55 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN)
The Tigers now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host White County for a 3A District 7 battle on Friday, January 5. DeKalb County will battle a Warriors team coming off a 59-49 non-league loss to York Institute (Jamestown, TN). The Warriors record now stands at 4-7.
The Lightning (4-12) will now prepare for their battle against Smith County (Carthage, TN). The Owls come into the non-league battle with a 2-8 record.
