December 28, 2023: Elizabeth, PA 15037 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Elizabeth Forward Warriors (Elizabeth, PA) and the visiting South Allegheny Gladiators (McKeesport, PA), saw Elizabeth Forward's basketball squad hold off South Allegheny by a count of 63-61.
With the victory, Elizabeth Forward upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Clairton (Clairton, PA) to play the Bears in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 5-5. Clairton won 81-29 in their recent non-league challenge against Geibel Catholic (Connellsville, PA)
Next up, the Gladiators play the Avonworth Antelopes (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. South Allegheny will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 44-42 non-league win over State College (State College, PA).
