Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Punxsutawney holds off Marion Center
December 28, 2023: Punxsutawney, PA 15767 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Punxsutawney Chucks (Punxsutawney, PA) and the visiting Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA), saw Punxsutawney's basketball squad hold off Marion Center by a tally of 53-46.
With the victory, Punxsutawney improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Chucks host Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA) to confront the Crusaders in a District 9 challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 7-0.
Next up, the Stingers confront the Cameron County Raiders (Emporium, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 29. Marion Center will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 54-53 non-league loss to Clarion Area (Clarion, PA).
