December 28, 2024: Burgettstown, PA 15021 The Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA) basketball edged the visiting Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA), 47-44 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Blue Devils now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Hillel Academy for a non-league bout on Monday, December 30. Burgettstown will play a team coming off a 48-16 non-league loss to Avella (Avella, PA). The record now stands at 3-4.
With the loss, Riverside falls to 6-5 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA) to play the Quips in a WPIAL 3A 1 bout on Friday, January 3. The Quips go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Aliquippa won 71-44 in their recent non-league bout against Uniontown (Uniontown, PA)
