The Middle Creek Mustangs (Apex, NC) basketball crushed the host Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC), 74-53 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Mustangs now possess a 7-6 record. They play next when they travel to Cary for a 4A Southeast Wake bout on Tuesday, January 7. Middle Creek will play a Imps team coming off a 63-62 non-league win over Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Imps record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Lee County falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Apex Friendship (Apex, NC) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, January 3. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Apex Friendship won 69-36 in their recent non-league bout against North Davidson (Lexington, NC)
