North Carolina High School Basketball - Catawba Ridge overwhelmed by South Point

The South Point Red Raiders bounced the visiting Catawba Ridge Copperheads basketball squad by a final score of 51-26 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Red Raiders clash with the Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, January 3. South Point will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Chargers enter the match with a 4-8 record after their 51-34 non-league loss to Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC).

The Copperheads now own a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwestern for a AAAAA Region 3 match on Friday, January 3. Catawba Ridge will face a Trojans squad coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Chester (Chester, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-6.
