Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Deer Lakes overwhelmed by River Valley

In Saturday's non-league test, the River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA) basketball squad trounced the host Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA), by a score of 70-20.

Next, the Panthers encounter the Marion Center Stingers (Marion Center, PA) in a Heritage test, on Friday, January 3. River Valley will attempt to improve on its 10-0 season record. The Stingers come into the test with a 8-1 record after their 47-42 non-league win over Punxsutawney (Punxsutawney, PA).

The Lancers (4-2) will now prepare for their test against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Rams come into the non-league test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Ligonier Valley was routed by Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 70-13, in a non-league test.
