December 28, 2024: Lower Brule, SD 57548 The DeSmet Bulldogs (DeSmet, SD) basketball crushed the host Lower Brule Sioux (Lower Brule, SD), 60-37 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they host St. Mary for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 2. DeSmet will play a Cardinals team coming off a 49-35 non-league win over Flandreau (Flandreau, SD). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.
With the loss, Lower Brule falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Sioux travel to Lyman (Presho, SD) to play the Raiders in a B Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 7. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 4-0. Lyman won 57-46 in their recent non-league match against Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD)
