Mississippi High School Basketball - Myrtle overwhelms Rosa Fort
December 28, 2024: Tunica, MS 38676 The Myrtle Hawks basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Rosa Fort Lions to 26 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Hawks now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Byers for a 1A Region 2 game on Friday, January 3. Myrtle will confront a Lions team coming off a 40-36 non-league win over Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain, MS). The Lions record now stands at 5-10.
With the loss, Rosa Fort falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Friday, January 3. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 4-12. Horn Lake lost 60-52 in their recent non-league game against Belmont (Belmont, MS)
