Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS) and the visiting Belmont Cardinals (Belmont, MS), saw Wheeler's basketball squad knock off Belmont by a count of 51-42.

With the victory, Wheeler upgrades its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Thrasher (Booneville, MS) to play the Rebels in a 1A Region 1 challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Rebels come into the challenge with a record of 2-3.
