Texas High School Basketball - Tolar can't hold off Eastland
December 29, 2022: Eastland, TX 76448 The Eastland Mavericks basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Tolar Rattlers to 30 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Mavericks now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Breckenridge for a 3A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Eastland will battle a Buckaroos team coming off a 34-30 non-league win over San Saba (San Saba, TX). The Buckaroos record now stands at 12-12.
The Rattlers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Rocksprings (Rocksprings, TX). The Angoras enter the non-league contest with a 14-8 record. In their last contest, Rocksprings nudged Colorado (Colorado City, TX), 57-25, in a non-league contest.
