The Burke County Bears basketball team scored 86 points and restricted the host Horse Creek Academy Stallions to 27 in the Bears non-league victory on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wayne County for a AAAA Region 3 contest on Friday, January 5. Burke County will battle a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 69-49 non-league loss to Toombs County (Lyons, GA). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 3-8.

The Stallions (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pelion (Pelion, SC). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Pelion was routed by Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC), 48-32, in a non-league contest.
