Alabama High School Basketball - Scottsboro tops Fort Payne
December 29, 2023: Scottsboro, AL 35768 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Scottsboro Wildcats (Scottsboro, AL) and the visiting Fort Payne Wildcats (Fort Payne, AL), saw Scottsboro's basketball squad knock off Fort Payne by a count of 70-58.
With the victory, Scottsboro upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host North Jackson (Stevenson, AL) to play the Chiefs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a record of 1-11. North Jackson lost 77-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Oakwood Academy (Huntsville, AL)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Fort Payne will attempt to upgrade on its 16-1 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 56-43 non-league loss to The Webb School (Bell Buckle, TN).
