In Friday's non-league outing, the North Edgecombe Warriors (Tarboro, NC) basketball squad edged the visiting SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), by a margin of 62-56.

The Warriors (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC). The Trojans go into the 1A Tar Roanoke outing with a 8-1 record. In their last outing, Southeast Halifax was tipped by SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC), 59-47, in a non-league outing.
