In Monday's non-league test, the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball team crushed the visiting Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC), by a tally of 62-34.

The Patriots now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Southern Lee for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 7.

With the loss, Panther Creek falls to 5-7 on the campaign. The Catamounts host Jordan (Durham, NC) to encounter the Falcons in a Quad City Seven 8A test on Tuesday, January 6. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 2-10. Jordan won 39-36 in their recent non-league test against Southern Alamance (Graham, NC)
