Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Highlands Highlanders (Highlands, NC), 56-35 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cherokee upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Braves host Pisgah (Canton, NC) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 7. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 2-2. Pisgah lost 98-81 in their recent non-league bout against Enka (Enka, NC)

Next up, the Highlanders play the Robbinsville Black Knights (Robbinsville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 7. Highlands will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
