The Needles Mustangs basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Ray Bearcats to 28 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to El Capitan for a non-league contest on Friday, December 3. Needles will battle a Eagles team coming off a 84-19 non-league win over Ash Fork (Ash Fork, AZ). The Eagles record now stands at 2-0.

The Bearcats (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Hopi (Keams Canyon, AZ). The Bruins enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Hopi was routed by Basis (Flagstaff, AZ), 41-40, in a non-league contest.
