December 3, 2024: Sanford, NC 27332 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) and the visiting Western Harnett Eagles (Lillington, NC), observed Southern Lee's basketball team overwhelm Western Harnett by a score of 70-22.
The Cavaliers (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC). The Golden Bulls come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, E.E. Smith was routed by Hillside (Durham, NC), 65-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Harnett Central Trojans (Angier, NC) in a 3A/4A All-American challenge, on Friday, December 6. Western Harnett will attempt to improve on its 0-4 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 65-51 non-league win over Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, NC).
