New York High School Basketball - Amarillo topped by Long Island Lutheran
December 30, 2021: Brookville, NY 11545 The Long Island Lutheran Crusaders basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Amarillo Sandies to 42 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Thursday.
The Crusaders now sport a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Berkmar for a non-league contest on Friday, December 31. Long Island Lutheran will battle a Patriots team coming off a 71-70 non-league win over Dorman (Roebuck, SC). The Patriots record now stands at 6-2.
The Sandies (16-5) will now prepare for their contest against Greeneville (Greeneville, TN). The Green Devils come into the non-league contest with a 10-3 record. In their last contest, Greeneville prevailed over Dr. Phillips (Orlando, FL), 76-72, in a non-league contest.
