California High School Basketball - Saugus nips George Washington Prep
December 30, 2022: Los Angeles, CA 90047 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Saugus Centurions (Saugus, CA) and the host George Washington Prep Generals (Los Angeles, CA), saw Saugus's basketball squad hold off George Washington Prep by a count of 78-74.
With the victory, Saugus upgrades its record to 10-7 on the campaign. The Centurions travel to San Diego (San Diego, CA) to play the Cavers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 31. The Cavers come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. San Diego won 63-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Capistrano Valley Christian (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
Next up, the Generals play the Rolling Hills Prep Huskies (San Pedro, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. George Washington Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 14-5 record after their 73-67 non-league loss to Village Christian (Sun Valley, CA).
