The Morgan Township Cherokees basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Kankakee Valley Kougars to 48 in the Cherokees non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cherokees now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Washington Township for a Porter County contest on Tuesday, January 3. Morgan Township will meet a Senators team coming off a 63-60 non-league loss to West Central (Francesville, IN). The Senators record now stands at 1-3.
