Illinois High School Basketball - West Aurora topped by Oak Park-River Forest
December 30, 2022: Aurora, IL 60506 The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host West Aurora Blackhawks to 52 in the Huskies non-league victory on Friday.
The Huskies now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proviso West for a West Suburban - Silver contest on Friday, January 6. Oak Park-River Forest will battle a Panthers team coming off a 67-63 non-league loss to Lincoln Park (Chicago, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 5-5.
The Blackhawks (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Joliet West (Joliet, IL). The Tigers come into the SouthWest Prairie contest with a 12-3 record. In their last contest, Joliet West was defeated by Benet Academy (Lisle, IL), 56-47, in a non-league contest.
