The Sharon Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Ambridge Bridgers to 33 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Slippery Rock for a District 10 Region 4 contest on Monday, January 9.

The Bridgers (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Quaker Valley (Leetsdale, PA). The Quakers enter the WPIAL 4A 2 contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Quaker Valley triumphed over Burgettstown (Burgettstown, PA), 47-46, in a non-league contest.
