With the victory, Tupelo upgrades its record to 14-1 on the campaign. The Golden Wave host Starkville (Starkville, MS) to play the Yellowjackets in a 6A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Starkville lost 52-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Vicksburg (Vicksburg, MS)
Next up, the Tigers play the Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 63-43 non-league loss to Fatima (Westphalia, MO).
