Idaho High School Basketball - Snake River topped by Lehi
December 30, 2022: Blackfoot, ID 83221 The Lehi Pioneers basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the host Snake River Panthers to 29 in the Pioneers non-league victory on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Timpview for a contest on Tuesday, January 3.
First Quarter
Phoenix Sweat scored 8 points and Brynlee Cook added 7 in the quarter which saw Lehi score 21 points. Snake River scored 7 points as the Pioneers get out to a 14- point lead going into the second period
Second Quarter
Snake River outscored Lehi 13 to 7 in the second quarter. Kyralyn Spencer hit a three-pointer in the period. The score at the end of the first half is Lehi 28 and Snake River 20.
Third Quarter
Lehi held Snake River to just 4 third quarter points while scoring 11. The score going into the final period is Lehi 39 and Snake River 24.
Fourth Quarter
Mac Bailey hit a three-pointer basket in the final quarter and Lehi score a total of 9 points. Snake River score only 5 points. The final score is 48 to 29 in favor of the Pioneers. Brynlee Cook led Lehi with 15 points and Phoenix Sweat added 10.
The Pioneers JV team remains undefeated with an 8-0 record going into region play.
