Georgia High School Basketball - Jackson County falls to Monroe Area
December 30, 2023: Jefferson, GA 30548 In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes basketball team scored a good 71-56 triumph over the Jackson County Panthers.
In their next game, the Purple Hurricanes meet the Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 2. Monroe Area will attempt to better on its 9-2 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 11-3 record after their 73-61 non-league win over Stockbridge (Stockbridge, GA).
With the defeat, Jackson County moves to 5-7 on the year. The Panthers host Apalachee (Winder, GA) to meet the Wildcats in a AAAAAA Region 8 match on Wednesday, January 3.
