Arkansas High School Basketball - Rison can't hold off Bauxite
December 30, 2024: Bauxite, AR 72011 Bauxite Miners (Bauxite, AR) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR), 46-40 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Bauxite upgrades its record to 4-11 on the year. The Miners host Dover (Dover, AR) to face the Pirates in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 17-0. Dover won 49-28 in their recent league match against Harmony Grove (Benton, AR)
The Wildcats now sport a 7-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Warren for a non-league match on Monday, January 6. Rison will face a Lumberjacks squad coming off a 63-36 non-league loss to Forrest City (Forrest City, AR). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 3-12.
