The Huntington Red Devils basketball squad (Huntington, TX), was nudged 50-48 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host East Chambers Buccaneers (Winnie, TX)

With the win, East Chambers betters its record to 17-2 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Hardin-Jefferson (Sour Lake, TX) to battle the Hawks in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 31. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Hardin-Jefferson won 53-39 in their recent non-league match against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX)

The Red Devils now own a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Central Heights for a 3A Region III District 21 match on Friday, January 2. Huntington will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Community (Nevada, TX). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-8.
