Arizona High School Basketball - North succumbs to Independence

December 4, 2025: Phoenix, AZ 85014

In Thursday's non-league test, the Independence Patriots (Glendale, AZ) basketball squad defeated the host North Mustangs (Phoenix, AZ), by a tally of 64-55.

The Patriots now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they host Youngker for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. Independence will play a Roughriders team coming off a 68-29 league loss to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Roughriders record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, North falls to 2-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Carl Hayden Community (Phoenix, AZ) to encounter the Falcons in a 5A Metro test on Monday, December 8. The Falcons come into the test with a record of 4-4. Carl Hayden Community lost 62-52 in their recent non-league test against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ)
