The Avery County Vikings basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Ashe County Huskies to 50 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now have a 4-0 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Avery County will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 66-43 non-league loss to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-2.

With the loss, Ashe County falls to 5-1 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC) to confront the Blackhawks in a non-league game on Monday, December 9.
