Illinois High School Basketball - Centralia overwhelms Herrin
December 5, 2024: Herrin, IL 62948 The Centralia Orphans basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Herrin Tigers to 19 in the Orphans non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Orphans now have a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Vernon for a South Seven game on Tuesday, December 10. Centralia will confront a Rams team coming off a 71-61 non-league win over Mt. Carmel (Mt. Carmel, IL). The Rams record now stands at 6-1.
With the loss, Herrin falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Christopher (Christopher, IL) to confront the Bearcats in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 4-3. Christopher won 46-22 in their recent league game against Goreville (Goreville, IL)
