The West Branch Warriors basketball squad (Morrisdale, PA), was nudged 71-66 in Friday's non-league battle with the host River Valley Panthers (Blairsville, PA)

With the victory, River Valley advances its record to 3-1 on the year. The Panthers travel to Cambria Heights (Patton, PA) to meet the Highlanders in a Heritage battle on Wednesday, December 11. The Highlanders enter the battle with a record of 0-0.

The Warriors now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Moshannon Valley for a Moshannon Valley battle on Monday, December 9. West Branch will meet a Black Knights/Damsels squad coming off a 47-31 league win over Harmony Area (Westover, PA). The Black Knights/Damsels record now stands at 1-1.
