The Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV) basketball were winner over the visiting Galena Grizzlies (Reno, NV), 54-43 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Vaqueros now possess a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Damonte Ranch for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 10. Fernley will play a Mustangs team coming off a 58-51 non-league loss to Buchanan (Clovis, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Galena falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Bishop Manogue (Reno, NV) to play the Miners in a 4A Northern bout on Tuesday, December 10. The Miners go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Bishop Manogue won 43-41 in their recent non-league bout against Churchill County (Fallon, NV)
