The Middle Creek Mustangs basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Willow Spring Storm to 33 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holly Springs for a 4A Conference 29 contest on Friday, December 10. Middle Creek will battle a Golden Hawks team coming off a 65-48 non-league win over Leesville Road (Raleigh, NC). The Golden Hawks record now stands at 5-1.

The Storm (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Garner (Garner, NC). The Trojans enter the 4A Conference 26 contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Garner ran past Middle Creek (Apex, NC), 62-49, in a non-league contest.
