Virginia High School Basketball - Maury overwhelms Indian River
December 8, 2022: Norfolk, VA 23517 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) and the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), saw Maury's basketball squad wallop Indian River by a tally of 58-26.
With the victory, Maury improves its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Commodores travel to Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to confront the Mustangs in a Eastern challenge on Friday, December 16. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 3-3.
Next up, the Braves confront the Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 10. Indian River will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Monarchs go into the outing with a 4-0 record after their 57-32 league win over Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA).
