The Smithfield-Selma Spartans basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host North Johnston Panthers to 43 in the Spartans non-league victory on Friday.

The Spartans now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harnett Central for a non-league contest on Monday, December 11. Smithfield-Selma will battle a Trojans team coming off a 63-28 non-league loss to Westover (Fayetteville, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 2-3.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 0-4 record.
