Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Amant overwhelms Dutchtown
February 1, 2024: Geismar, LA 70734 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) and the host Dutchtown Griffins (Geismar, LA), saw St. Amant's basketball squad wallop Dutchtown by a tally of 63-39.
With the victory, St. Amant improves its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Gators host Walker (Walker, LA) to confront the Wildcats in a 5A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 31-1. Walker won 77-14 in their recent league challenge against Live Oak (Watson, LA)
Next up, the Griffins confront the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) in a 5A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Dutchtown will attempt to improve on its 9-12 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 24-3 record after their 59-26 league win over East Ascension (Gonzales, LA).
