Kentucky High School Basketball - Madison Southern overwhelms Lafayette
February 1, 2024: Berea, KY 40403 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Madison Southern Eagles (Berea, KY) and the visiting Lafayette Generals (Lexington, KY), saw Madison Southern's basketball squad wallop Lafayette by a tally of 63-41.
With the victory, Madison Southern improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Eagles host Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY) to confront the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 2. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Rockcastle County won 65-32 in their recent non-league challenge against Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY)
Next up, the Generals confront the Lexington Christian Eagles (Lexington, KY) in a District 43 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Lafayette will attempt to improve on its 13-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 45-26 league win over Lexington Catholic (Lexington, KY).
