February 10, 2024: Penasco, NM 87553 Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes (Mora, NM) and the host Penasco Panthers (Penasco, NM), saw Mora's basketball squad overcome Penasco by a tally of 64-48.
With the victory, Mora improves its record to 10-11 on the campaign. The Rangers/Rangerettes travel to Questa (Questa, NM) to confront the Wildcats in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, February 15. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 3-18. Questa lost 64-24 in their recent league challenge against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM)
Next up, the Panthers confront the McCurdy Bobcats (Espanola, NM) in a 2A District 5 challenge, on Thursday, February 15. Penasco will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a 12-10 record after their 75-59 league loss to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM).
