Kansas High School Basketball - Northern Valley succumbs to Smith Center

February 10, 2026: Smith Center, KS 66967

In Tuesday's non-league test, the Smith Center Redmen (Smith Center, KS) basketball squad defeated the visiting Northern Valley Huskies (Almena, KS), by a final score of 52-35.

Next, the Redmen clash with the Norton Bluejays (Norton, KS) in a Mid-Continent test, on Friday, February 13. Smith Center will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Bluejays come into the test with a 6-12 record after their 46-21 league win over Hill City (Hill City, KS).

The Huskies (8-10) will now prepare for their bout against Golden Plains (Rexford, KS). The Bulldogs go into the Western Kansas Liberty bout with a 9-10 record. In their last bout, Golden Plains achieved victory over Hill City (Hill City, KS), 30-21, in a non-league bout.
