The Southmont Mounties defeated the host South Vermillion Wildcats basketball squad by a final score of 73-60 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Mounties clash with the McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN) in a non-league outing, on Friday, February 14. Southmont will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Mavericks come into the outing with a 10-6 record after their 78-40 non-league win over Crawfordsville (Crawfordsville, IN).

The Wildcats (7-10) will now prepare for their outing against Attica (Attica, IN). The Red Ramblers come into the Wabash River outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Attica went down by Fountain Central (Veedersburg, IN), 67-41, in a league outing.
