February 11, 2025: Virden, IL 62690 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Staunton Bulldogs (Staunton, IL) and the host North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL), observed Staunton's basketball team overwhelm North Mac by a margin of 53-32.
The Bulldogs (24-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL). The Vandals come into the South Central challenge with a 15-12 record. In their last challenge, Vandalia was trounced by Litchfield (Litchfield, IL), 55-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers battle the Nokomis Redskins (Nokomis, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 13. North Mac will attempt to better on its 11-18 season record. The Redskins come into the challenge with a 25-5 record after their 45-29 league win over New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL).
