Virginia High School Basketball - Virginia Academy fells Miller School of Albemarle

Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks (Charlottesville, VA), 65-56 in a non-league challenge.

With the victory, Virginia Academy improves its record to 20-6 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA) to confront the Saints in a VISAA Division I challenge on Wednesday, February 15. The Saints come into the challenge with a record of 21-1. St. Anne's-Belfield won 61-59 in their recent non-league challenge against Catholic (Virginia Beach, VA)

Next up, the Mavericks confront the Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 17. Miller School of Albemarle will attempt to improve on its 19-6 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 16-8 record after their 35-27 league win over New Covenant (Lynchburg, VA).
