New Mexico High School Basketball - Maxwell nips Springer
February 15, 2020: Maxwell, NM 87728 Maxwell Bears (Maxwell, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Springer Red Devils (Springer, NM), 44-37 in a league bout.
With the victory, Maxwell upgrades its record to 11-13 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Wagon Mound (Wagon Mound, NM) to play the Trojans in a A District 5 bout on Tuesday, February 18. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 1-16. Wagon Mound lost 65-11 in their recent league bout against Roy/Mosquero (Roy, NM)
In their next game, the Red Devils meet the Wagon Mound Trojans (Wagon Mound, NM) in a A District 5 match, on Wednesday, February 19. Springer will attempt to move on its 6-13 season record. The Trojans enter the match with a 1-17 record after their 63-6 league loss to Maxwell (Maxwell, NM).
