Florida High School Baseball - Gainesville loses to Vanguard

Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) supporters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their baseball team beat the host Gainesville Hurricanes (Gainesville, FL), 10-1 in a non-league game.

The Knights (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Citrus (Inverness, FL). The Hurricanes go into the 4A District 5 game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Citrus was overwhelmed by Hernando (Brooksville, FL), 9-2, in a non-league match.

The Hurricanes now possess a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hawthorne for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 17. Gainesville will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 11-10 non-league loss to Hamilton County (Jasper, FL). The Hornets record now stands at 2-2.
